These terms cover your use of the Daily Pasture app. They are meant to be read, so they are written plainly. Using the app means you accept them.
Daily Pasture gives you Scripture, guided journeys through a theme, a private journal, a prayer list, and a study assistant. Reading the Bible in it is free and will remain so.
Your journal entries, prayers and reflection answers are yours. We claim no ownership of them, we do not publish them, we do not show them to other users, and we do not use them to train any AI model. As described in the Privacy Policy, we have deliberately built the system so that we cannot read them.
The consequence is worth stating plainly: if you delete something, it is gone, and we cannot recover it for you.
The assistant is not an authority on what Scripture means. It is a study aid, it can be wrong, and it is not a substitute for a pastor, a church, a commentary, or your own reading.
It is built to show its working: what the text says is kept separate from how it is understood, and where thoughtful Christians disagree it is meant to say so rather than pick a side. Even so, treat its answers as a starting point for study, not as a conclusion. Where it conflicts with the text, the text wins.
The app includes translations that are in the public domain or otherwise free to distribute. Each is named where it appears. Their translators and publishers are not affiliated with Daily Pasture and do not endorse it.
Daily Pasture is not medical, psychological, legal or financial advice. Some journeys deal with grief, doubt, shame and forgiveness after being hurt. They are written with care, but they are reading material, not treatment.
If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, please contact your local emergency services or a crisis line now. An app is not the right help for that, and we would rather say so than pretend otherwise.
Don't use the app to break the law, don't try to access other people's accounts or data, don't attack or overload the service, and don't attempt to resell or redistribute its content.
We try to keep the app working, but it is provided "as is" and we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Much of it — Scripture, your current journey, today's reading — is designed to keep working without a connection.
To the extent the law allows, Daily Pasture is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the app. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
You can stop using the app and delete your account whenever you like. We may suspend an account that is being used to attack the service or harm other people. If we ever discontinue the app, we will give notice and a way to export what you have written.
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights, the app will tell you rather than quietly updating this page.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable there.
