None. Vocal Chords has no user accounts, no sign-up, and no backend server. We do not collect your name, email, location, contacts, device identifiers, or usage analytics.
When you tap record, the app uses your device microphone to capture your humming, singing, or beatboxing. This audio is transcribed into musical notes entirely on your device. Recorded audio and the notes it produces are never uploaded, transmitted, or shared with us or anyone else. You can revoke microphone access at any time in the iOS Settings app.
Songs you create are saved locally on your device. If you have iCloud Backup enabled for the app, your project files may be included in your own private iCloud backup, which is controlled by you and governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We have no access to it.
In-app purchases (Vocal Chords Pro and sound packs) are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see or receive your payment information. Apple handles the transaction under Apple's Privacy Policy.
When you export a song (audio, MIDI, or stems), the file is created on your device and you choose where it goes via the standard iOS share sheet. We are not involved in and have no visibility into where you send it.
Vocal Chords does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children under 13. Because we collect no data at all, the app is safe for all ages.
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the "last updated" date above.
