On the Reef home screen, tap Start on a profile. Every other app locks immediately and your child sees their hub of activities. You can also start a profile from a Home Screen widget, Control Center, or by asking Siri ("Start Homework in Reef").
Tap the lock in the top corner of the hub, then use Face ID or your PIN. Only a grown-up can exit — your child can't leave on their own.
On the unlock screen, choose to use your iPhone passcode instead. That always works as a fallback, so you can never get locked out of your own phone.
Tap "New profile," give it a name (like "Toddler" or "Homework"), then add activities: built-in games, kid-safe website tiles, and — for older kids — optionally a few of their own apps. Tap Start to hand over just that profile.
In a profile, add a website tile and enter the address. Reef opens it in a locked browser pinned to that one site — no address bar, and any link that tries to leave the site is blocked.
A few of Apple's own system apps can't be blocked by any third-party app. Reef shows you exactly how to handle them — for the strongest lock, set a Screen Time passcode (see below).
Set a Screen Time passcode in the iOS Settings app (Settings → Screen Time → Lock Screen Time Settings). This stops an older child from switching Reef off in Settings. It takes about 20 seconds.
Free includes one profile, all the built-in games, and the complete safety system (shield, PIN, and recovery). The one-time purchase unlocks unlimited profiles and letting older kids use a few of their own apps. There is no subscription, ever.
Open the menu (question-mark icon) → Restore purchase. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you used to buy. Family Sharing is supported.
