How does a session work?

Tap the big circle when a craving hits. Optionally rate how strong it is and tag why, then follow 3, 5 or 10 minutes of guided breathing and short exercises. At the end you can stop, add ten more minutes, or log that you had one. Change the length in Settings › Session length.

What are the strength ratings for?

Rate the craving from 1 to 10 before a session, at the halfway point and at the end. After three rated cravings, CraveWave shows your own average: how strong your cravings start and how far they fade. Rating is optional; you can always tap "Just start".

What is the stretch-the-gap plan?

Tap "I just had one" each time you smoke or vape. With a plan (CraveWave Pro), the time you aim to wait before the next one grows by a few minutes every day, and you get a notification when the gap is up. If a craving comes early, start a session and postpone it.

I'm not getting notifications

Check iOS Settings › Notifications › CraveWave and make sure Allow Notifications is on. If Focus is on, add CraveWave to its allowed apps.

What does CraveWave Pro include, and how do I cancel?

Pro adds the stretch-the-gap plan, your full craving history by trigger, two extra exercise styles and long-term milestones. New subscribers get a free trial and a reminder two days before it ends. Cancel any time in iOS Settings › your name › Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

I bought Pro but it isn't unlocked

Open Settings in the app and tap Try CraveWave Pro, then Restore purchases. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you bought with.

How do I erase my data?

Settings › Reset everything erases your profile, sessions, ratings and plan from your phone. Nothing about you is stored on our servers. See the Privacy Policy.

Is CraveWave medical advice?

No. CraveWave is a self-help tool, not a medical device or a replacement for treatment. Nicotine replacement and prescription medicines improve the chances of quitting; ask a doctor or pharmacist which fits you. In the US, free coaching is available at 1-800-QUIT-NOW and smokefree.gov.
