Plain English, because you should actually read this one.
A measurement tool and a general fitness programme. It estimates what your body can currently do and suggests small amounts of everyday movement based on that estimate.
It is not a medical device, a diagnosis, a screening test, a risk assessment or a treatment. It does not detect disease and it cannot tell you whether something is wrong with you. Nothing in it replaces advice from a doctor, nurse, physiotherapist or any other qualified professional.
Chest pain, pressure or tightness — at rest or on exertion. A heart attack, stent or heart surgery in the last six months. Fainting or unexplained dizziness. Breathlessness that is new, sudden or much worse than usual. New swelling in your ankles or legs. Pregnancy. Any condition where a professional has told you to limit activity.
Physical activity carries risk, including injury and, rarely, serious cardiac events. That risk is higher if you have been inactive, are carrying extra weight, or have a heart or metabolic condition. By using the programme you accept that you are choosing to exercise voluntarily and taking responsibility for that decision.
Stop immediately and seek medical help for chest pain or pressure, severe breathlessness, dizziness or feeling faint, an irregular or racing heartbeat, or pain that is sharp rather than effortful. Never push through those.
Activity can lower blood glucose. Keep fast-acting glucose within reach, do not exercise immediately before a meal, and agree timing with whoever prescribes for you.
Unfitly is for adults. It is not designed or tested for anyone under 18, and the measurement it uses is not validated in children.
Your score comes from twelve questions we wrote, priced using published energy costs, and answered by you. Your chair count is something you measure yourself. Both are estimates. They can be wrong, and they say nothing about your health beyond what your body could do on the day you answered.
Subscriptions and the one-off unlock are handled entirely by Apple and governed by your agreement with them. Subscriptions renew until cancelled in your Apple account settings. Refunds are Apple's to give.
Unfitly is provided as-is, without warranty. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for injury, loss or damage arising from your use of the app. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and in some countries that includes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence — your local law wins over this paragraph.
If these terms change materially we'll show you the new version in the app before you carry on using it.
